Come on get some hardware people

Ask around and you will find that I don't use new hardware. I mean my stuff is 4 to 8 years old. But for what I do it is good. But one thing that I got above alot of the new machines that I see is I have atleast 512 of ram in ever box I have running. Right now the only box I have that has only that amount is my server, and I don't do much on that. Come on folks if you got a box that has to do more then one thing at a time put atleast a gig of ram. if you have a server then 2gig would be nice. Ram is cheap and it is one upgrade that is easy to do.

Something Special

I woke up this morning and as I am transfering things from the pockets of pants of yesterday to the pockets of pants of today, I found that I had lost my original Pentel Quicker Clicker PD345. This was a very nice pencil. The new ones have a hugh rubber grip that is just terrible. This one had the non PC metal needle used to clean out lead from the tip. So that means it was atleast 10years old. They have been out of production for atleast 7 years. Oh this is a sad day.

Zippo to that important piece of paper

I guess reading yet another blog around here and listening to that thing called NPR that I seem to think Bush is just taking that nice Zippo to the DofI. And just about everything else that has a law worth something. Hey folks Duke Cunningham just got arrested and all that for taking money. So I got to get off my ass and do something about this. I can't buy a dildo for my woman or well record a tv show on my tivo. There is a law where I live that makes the first illegal and the second is Tivo bending backwards toward the **AA. and the FCC wants to bring in a broadcast flag. and then make me recording stuff off the tv to a VHS tape illegal. If computers had not come along then the old ways of doing things might have still made sense. Just think about it now. I can now find more info on things that I like then in any other time of my life. Now I can watch tv shows from across the pond. Why is it a bad thing that it is illegal for me to get them? I mean hey folks I have found something that I want to watch. You find a way to make it nice and packaged and then have me wanting more and I will really enjoy to pay you for the content. Check this. I just got my netflix sub. Great now I can go thur and watch the stuff that interest me. Not just the stuff you want to feed me on my current tv. So what next an implant in my mind telling me what to watch? Might as well just put a 7.62x39 in the skull after that. I just find it funny now that people have found a way to trade what is interesting now everyone sees only the bad. I DLed the www.penpassion.com podcast on fountain pens the other day. Very interesting but is only for a small group of people. Yet with the internet that Gore did not invent I can listen to this type of thing. Well end of yet my second can of grapico tonight.

The road I seem to be going down

Well as I put my feet up and grab my Grapico I happen to think back over the last couple of days. I have my Irish whiskey cake at the bar I go too. Talk to the nerds there about the whole terrists thing to copy a movie and give it to a friend. Well then I go into work. While bored at my o so wonderful job I look at /. and what do I see but yet another step toward me moving out of this country. Now the ISP's want to start charging for premium bandwidth. The ISP's want to start packet preference on stuff in there own network. I understand yea it would be nice to have everything in your house but what about me that wants to connect to my server in germany. What about the fact I might or might not run a p2p app to DL legal stuff. Maybe when I do click on a link such as the www.serenityfirefly.com to DL podcast that I actually want them to get to my box and as I know of right now they are legal. well not I think with the standard package will I be able to do that. As a friend says we are moving to communism and 1984. Maybe soon you will make me work in the factory and stand in line for my bread. I understand that I live in a state where pron is not good to mail to me or the fact that women can't legally buy sex toys. But this nuts. Now there is two bodies ruling the net. Both end in AA. Well maybe alittle to much barcardi in my Grapico tonight. Everyone have fun for I am looking for a pad in Japan. Nice fast net and I might be able to do something that I want to do.
