Come on get some hardware people
Ask around and you will find that I don't use new hardware. I mean my stuff is 4 to 8 years old. But for what I do it is good. But one thing that I got above alot of the new machines that I see is I have atleast 512 of ram in ever box I have running. Right now the only box I have that has only that amount is my server, and I don't do much on that. Come on folks if you got a box that has to do more then one thing at a time put atleast a gig of ram. if you have a server then 2gig would be nice. Ram is cheap and it is one upgrade that is easy to do.

my major machines have 1gig, my television entertainment machine has 512 and my moms machine has 512. The biggest thing is that the slowest processor i have is a 1.2GHz
Yea and then you still can do alot of stuff with that one 1.2. So many I see are trying to push as much as they can do with 256. It is completely nuts.
